Helen Vassar of Present Pilates

Hi,
I'm Helen

Helen is a Mat Pilates teacher and has been practicing Pilates since 2013. For years she suffered with chronic back pain and was miserable. She was sitting still for long periods and when she did try and exercise, she would struggle through it, then give up because she was in so much pain.

She was stressed out, in constant fight or flight mode and knew she needed to change her habits to feel better. Following her own journey of discovery, Helen became passionate about Pilates, and in 2019, she trained with Polestar Pilates UK, and is now a certified Equipment and Mat Pilates Practitioner.

She knows the realities of working a stressful desk job and how hard it can be to fit in exercise around a busy schedule, especially when you are exhausted. Regular movement is one of the most important things you can do to feel better. She is pleased to say that she is now free from back pain through regular Pilates practice.

{Present}

But what is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of exercises, developed in the 1920s by German-born Joseph Pilates. It is designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness. Pilates aims to improve general fitness and wellbeing by toning the body using slow, controlled and precise movements to strengthen the deep stabilising muscles of the neck and shoulders, spine and pelvis. Why not give it a try today and complete the contact form below?
